Marni Rose, founder of Activities for Life is a skilled and experienced recreation therapist. She has been working in the healthcare field for over a decade with families, geriatric care managers, elder care lawyers, guardians, nursing homes, and adult day care facilities serving seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Marni’s passion is in integrating, managing, and facilitating therapeutic programs serving a diverse range of individuals and groups. Her sensitivity to her clients and her ability to create joyous experiences for them is her greatest strength.

In 2008, Marni became a registered hatha yoga teacher through the World Yoga Center, a registered school with Yoga Alliance. Through Activities for Life, she shares yoga, breathing practices, and meditation techniques with her clients. She especially loves introducing yoga to seniors and people with disabilities, and truly believes yoga can benefit every body.

Jana Castellano’s yoga practice evolved from her long-standing practice of meditation. After exploring several styles of yoga, she discovered Anusara Yoga and felt a deep resonance with the methodology and principles. Jana took her teacher training at the World Yoga Center in Manhattan where she now teaches and continues to study. In November 2010, she became licensed as an Anusara Inspired Yoga Instructor. She is also registered with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Instructor (RYT).

Jana is experienced working with seniors, including teaching Gentle/Chair Yoga for the Encore Community Center in Midtown Manhattan, and to members of the AHRC community (individuals with disabilities). Her classes are nurturing and full of love with the intention to transmit to her students the true power of yoga that comes from connecting to their own essence.
